London Biggin Hill Airport is one of the UK’s business aviation airports in the London area to accept pets on the Government’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) Pet Travel Scheme. We are seeking a pet handler to allow owners to fly their pets directly to Biggin Hill Airport for clearance. You will be meeting an aircraft on the main apron, boarding the aircraft and check the pet’s passport and micro-chip in the presence of the owner, then allow the owner to be free to disembark the aircraft with their pet.
You will enjoy delivering outstanding customer service whilst following laid down procedures, dealing with the unexpected in a logical way. You will be confident and able to make decisions in sometimes pressurised situations. Working within a small team, you will be able to work on your own initiative and also be a self-motivated team player who enjoys building relationships with other key team members to ensure seamless service delivery. You will have excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work. You will be able to communicate clearly and confidently face to face, via email and on the telephone. You will need to have the ability to efficiently utilise IT in the workplace environment, using technology to manage your workflows.
