London – 22nd June 2017: Admission tickets for London’s premier aviation event of 2017, the Festival of Flight at London Biggin Hill airport, are on sale now.
During the weekend of 19th and 20th August Biggin Hill will host London and the South East’s largest aviation spectacle. Extended to a two-day event to commemorate the airport’s centenary, spectators will be treated to a five-hour flying display, including the world’s greatest aerobatic pilots The Red Arrows. Furthermore, in their only UK appearance this year the French aerobatic display team, Patrouille de France, will also perform.
Will Curtis, airport managing director London Biggin Hill, says: “This year’s show is one not to be missed. As well as displays by two national aerobatic teams, we will also have the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight featuring the iconic Avro Lancaster bomber, Spitfire and Hurricane, many more demonstrations plus numerous aircraft on static display. This really will be the must-attend aviation event of 2017.”
Taking centre stage in the showground will be the Biggin 100 exhibition, which looking at life over the last century. Other features include a large fun fair, over one hundred exhibitors, food courts and the Shephard Neame beer buses.
Tickets can be purchased through www.lbhacommunity.co.uk and if bought before 7th August are discounted to £22 per adult, with children under 15 entering free when accompanied by an adult (subject to availability).
