London Biggin Hill Airport confirmed today that the French Air Force aerobatic team ‘Patrouille de France’ will be participating in this year’s Festival of Flight.
The Festival of Flight is one of a number of very special events included in Biggin Hill 100th anniversary celebrations.
The Patrouille de France’s performance takes place on Sunday 20 August and will be the team’s only UK appearance in 2017. Equipped with the Dassault AlphaJet training aircraft, they will perform a mix of stunning aerial formations as a fitting tribute to the Sptifire equipped 341 Free French Air Force Squadron that was based at RAF Biggin Hill between 1941 and 1943.
Also confirmed for the 2017 edition of The Festival of Flight are the RAF’s aerobatic team, The Red Arrows and The RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
