Steven Inch, formerly a Flight Operations Officer at London Biggin Hill Airport, has graduated through Officer Training at the RAF’s College Cranwell and is now commissioned in the Royal Air Force.  He commenced his new career in January 2016 and his course culminated with a Royal graduation ceremony at the end of July.  Now appointed a Flying Officer, Steven is undertaking two weeks of aircrew survival training followed by five weeks of ground school as he awaits his allocation to an elementary flying training course as the next step in his ambition to become a fast-jet fighter pilot.

Steven’s ambition was significantly advanced when he won the 2014 Nick Davidson Memorial Flying Scholarship and obtained his full EASA PPL with the Surrey & Kent Flying Club in 2015.

“The amazing experience of the PPL ground and flight training at Biggin Hill gave me the confidence and aptitude that won me acceptance for training with the Royal Air Force against fierce competition” says Steven.

“I strongly urge all those between the ages of 16 and 25 with a compelling ambition to becoming a professional pilot, to apply for the 2017 or 2018 Nick Davidson Memorial Scholarships. The scholarships will provide the funding for two young individuals to gain a full European Private Pilot Licence training at Biggin Hill, a sure-footed stepping stone towards a future flying career.” says Steven.
