Go-Ahead will be running a regular bus service over Express Route 800 from the West Croydon bus station especially for visitors to the Biggin Hill Festival of Flight on Saturday 14th June.

Buses will depart from Bay 7 at the West Croydon station in the morning at 1035, 1055, 1115 and 1135, stopping en route to pick up passengers at the East Croydon bus station in Dingwall Road five minutes later.  At Biggin Hill, the service will terminate on Churchill Way close to the access  point to the Festival showground

Go-Ahead buses will return over the reverse route starting at 5.20pm and thereafter at 6.20, 7.50, 8.10, last service at 9.00pm.  Journey time is approximately 45  minutes.

Event Organiser Colin Hitchins says that the special bus service is a most welcome addition to the public transport network supporting the event.

“The planned service for Express Route 800 will provide a fine opportunity for the people of Croydon to visit the Festival in the comfort of a modern coach  and to be delivered close to the point for pedestrian access to the Festival showground” he says

The RAF Aerobatic team ‘The Red Arrows’ will be at Biggin Hill throughout the day and will celebrate their 50th flying season with a full display performance during the afternoon.  There will be many supporting items on the ground and in the air.
