Rose Saunders, Head of Business Support for organisers Prospects, launches the 2014 Bromley Business Awards with Robert Walters, sponsored by Biggin Hill Airport

The Bromley Business Awards for 2014 were launched last week at a special ceremony at Biggin Hill Airport, who continue as principal sponsors for a fourth  year.

Announcing the awards, Rose Saunders, Head of Business Support at Prospects, the organising company, said that the award scheme was now well established and encouraged all companies – large, medium or small – to enter and have their achievements promotionally highlighted.

“The purpose of the award scheme is to recognise and celebrate the many dynamic and innovative businesses within the Borough.  There are still many untold success stories and we want to hear about them” she said.

Robert Walters, Business Development Director, confirmed that Biggin Hill Airport were very happy to continue as principal sponsors.

“It is important that we show support for the award scheme and to project the key message that Bromley is open for business and looking for new opportunities” he said.

There are eleven different categories for entries, ranging from ‘Best Small Business’ up to ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and many variations in between. Peter Scott-Wilds, a Director of FLR Spectrum who won the ‘Business of the Year’ award in 2013 as well as two supporting awards, was at the Reception to endorse the value of the Awards to the winners.

“It certainly helps to move business forward.  Being a successful entrant is a fabulous opportunity for Bromley businesses. You just have to enter to give your company the chance that they deserve” said Mr Scott-Wilds.

Closing date for entries is 5pm on Friday 4th July.  A high profile Gala Evening is staged at The Warren in late October when the awards are made.
