Flight Operations
Experienced Flight Operations personnel provide crews with weather and airport briefing packs and assist with flight planning, airways slots and all the flight information they need.

Control Authorities
As a fully licensed port of entry, the Airport has full-time HM Customs and Immigration and Metropolitan Police Special Branch officers present throughout operational hours.

Passenger Handling
Biggin Hill Executive Aircraft Handling is the Airport's own Fixed Base Operator, with the office located in the Passenger Terminal under the Control Tower. The handling team will look after all of your aircraft, passenger and crew requirements including ground transportation, hotel accommodation, in-flight catering, laundry, newspapers and so on. You can also choose Jet Aviation – who are based at the Airport - to look after your handling needs.

In-flight Catering
We recommend Cuisine Air International, a new executive in-flight catering supplier with its food preparation premises at the airport. They offer customers outstanding quality, choice and value. As they are based at Biggin Hill the food is exceptionally fresh and there are no delivery charges.

Wi-Fi Broadband Access
The whole Terminal complex has Wi-Fi Broadband access for appropriately configured lap-tops.

Terminal
The main terminal reception area houses the Handling Office and Pilots’ Briefing Office - with flight planning and meteorological services available. The Café Bar serves light refreshments and is fully licensed.

Passenger Lounge
The Departure Lounge is located in the main terminal and can seat up to 100 passengers in comfort.

VIP Lounge
In the adjoining Executive Terminal, the Ambassador Lounge is a discreet and comfortable waiting area for VIP passengers.

Crew Lounge
Also in the Executive Terminal, the Club Lounge is a relaxing, comfortable place for flight crew. It has superb views over the airfield – as well as satellite TV and a pool table.

Baggage Screening
The Airport offers 100% baggage screening for hold and hand baggage, together with personal screening AMD. We comply with the Department for Transport’s National Aviation Security Programme (NASP) regulations.

Meeting Rooms
Both lounges can be hired. Catering is available on request and audio visual equipment available too. The rooms are equipped with a wireless network hotspot. We cater for meetings of up to 150 people.

ATC
ATC is operated and administered in accordance with CAA approval procedures issued with Air Navigation Order, Article 77, S/ATS/125 . All Controllers are trained at CAA-approved colleges in Aerodrome Control and Approach Procedures disciplines. Controllers are subject to annual competency checks by the CAA.

Radar
Radar services are provided under contract by National Air Traffic Services.

Radio Frequencies

Navaids
ILS /DME and VOR / DME facilities serving Runway 21. The ILS is designed and installed to Category One criteria.

Weather Facilities
Our computer terminal supplies European charts, text forecasts, satellite images, rainfall radar, TAFs, METARs, aerodrome colour states. Our AFTN telex has direct access to worldwide METAR and TAF databanks. We are in regular telephone and fax communication with the UK Meteorological Office. Weather information is also obtainable from internet sources if required.

Cargo Handling
Some cargo handling is available with prior notice using a 6.25T fork lift.

Ground Handling
Equipment includes aircraft tugs, air start unit, air stairs for aircraft up to B757, GPU, toilet service units, baggage vehicles, apron service vehicles, runway friction tester, passenger/crew minibus, cherry picker and aircraft and runway de-icing rigs.

Snow Removal
The Airport has four snow ploughs, one 12 brush snow blower, a runway de-icing unit and a heated aircraft de-icing unit.

Fuel
Fuel is supplied by the airport. There is an on-site fuel farm together with a large mobile capacity of both Jet A1 and Avgas 100LL.

Maintenance and Hangarage
There are a number of operators onsite who can offer first and second line maintenance, plus emergency technical support, parts, avionics assistance, completions and hangarage.
