Regional Airports Limited (RAL) was founded as a privately owned company in 1990 by its Chief Executive, Andrew Walters, and acquired the business and assets of both Biggin Hill Airport and Southend Airport from their respective Local Authorities in April and May 1994.

Since selling Southend Airport to the Stobart Group Limited in December 2008, RAL continues to own and operate London Biggin Hill Airport and other Aviation
related projects.
